PEMI CHORAL SOCIETY:  MASK AND VACCINATION POLICY
FOR REHEARSALS STARTING JANUARY 23, 2023

Given the current endemic state of COVID-19, where the majority of the population has acquired some immune protection either through vaccination or infection, the Pemi Choral Society will no longer require vaccinations for singers; however, vaccination is strongly recommended.

Mask wearing is optional for now. You should wear a mask if you have concerns about infection.  The board reserves the right, however, to ask singers to wear masks for rehearsals and/or concerts based on any rise in community spread or changes in requirements on the part of our rehearsal and concert venues.

Stay home if you are ill
If you are sick or have Covid-19 symptoms, or if you are subject to quarantine or under isolation order, please stay home. Per the CDC guidelines, those with confirmed cases of Covid-19 should self-isolate at home until at least 5 days have passed since symptoms first appeared (at least 24 hours have passed since last fever without use of fever-reducing medications, and symptoms have improved).  The CDC continues to recommend that you not be around people who are vulnerable (e.g. immune compromised, over age 65) for at least 10 days.  Given the age range and vulnerabilities of our chorus, we ask that you wait 10 days before returning to rehearsals.

During the time you are away from rehearsals, please join us via Zoom if you are feeling well enough to attend rehearsal virtually.

How to report if you are ill or become ill during the season
If you become ill within 5 days of a rehearsal, sectional or concert, you should notify the Board President via text, call, or email. It is important that you let us know as soon as you have tested positive. In order to protect your privacy, the President will then anonymously inform those who may have been in close contact within 24 hours of your disclosure.

The Board will ensure that this policy remains actively aligned with the State of New Hampshire’s Health guidelines on COVID-19 in conjunction with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Plymouth State University to create the safest possible environment for all.

We appreciate your flexibility and willingness to make adjustments for the safety of everyone. If you feel like you cannot make these adjustments, we welcome you back in for future performances.

PARKING PERMIT
The PSU Silver Center administrator informs us that after 6 pm, parking permits will not be needed.

MISSING REHEARSALS
Regular attendance at rehearsals is very important.   There are times, however, when attendance is just not possible.   Pemi policy, as set by the board, allows for no more than three missed rehearsals in any term.  Any more than that, the singer must get a waiver from the board.

NOTIFICATION OF SECTION LEADER OF ABSENCES
Singers should notify their section leaders if they know they are going to have to miss a rehearsal.   Email addresses of section leaders are listed below. Please add your section leader's contact information to your address book.
